Everything between the Beige G3s and the (I think) 700 MHz G4s (a rev or two ago) has at least some of their PCI slots behind a PCI-PCI bridge. Given the experiences of S900/J700 owners, one might wish to avoid those models. On the other hand, Apple seems to have fixed the ROM in those machines to actually deal with bridges properly, as there have not been massive howls of agony from the owners of newer machines in the Mac community.
