Go into a Radioshack and tell them that you need a 23-026 battery. From
one who knows, they guy behind the counter will love you for making his
job that easy!

As for getting the S900 open (all left-right references assume you are
looking at the front of the machine), lay the computer on its side with
the left panel on top. Unscrew the thumb wheel on the back left side.
It is half way up the case. The screw does not come all the way out,
when you feel it go slack, push in on the tabs on the top and bottom
corners of the side panel (you can see the thump impressions on the top
and bottom). You need to use plenty of elbow grease and probably a few
bad words for this part. Slide the panel towards the rear of the
machine, it will move an inch or two. Lift the panel off.

To get to the battery you will need to remove the front bezel as well.
To do this, look for t push tabs, one of the top-top, middle-side, and
bottom-side. They are slightly sunk into the metal and have engraved
arrows pointing to them, they would be about a half-inch from the front
bezel. This panel will swing to the right and pull out.

You will now need to pull the drive bay bracket (the big metal square
hole that the CD-ROM is in) an inch or two forward, it will start to
come out of the 'front' of the case, when it stops moving, pull the
bracket out of the left side of the case. The battery will be on the
motherboard right behind where the lowest drive bay would be. The
battery will snap out. There may be a black cover over the battery, pry
up the edge of the cover to snap it off, if you break that cover, don't
worry, it is really only used in shipping to prevent the battery from
falling out, you won't need it in normal use.

Anyone else have anything to add?
