My understanding of how software Ram testing works would seem to tell me that while you've come up with a good idea...it won't really work. Here's why,One of the short comings of software ram testing is some of the ram in the machine is used to start the machine up and run the finder and ram testing app. Ram being used for this is not available for testing and so far no one knows how to tell which ram in which slots is being used or tested. So in order to test all the ram you have to move it around in the slots and test several times and hope for the best. So it would seem to me that making a ram disk would keep you from testing the ram being used for the ram disk. So even less ram would be available for testing....Does that make sense? Will S who gave up and took all my ram to a local shop for testing in one of those machines nearly no one can afford to buy.My problem turned out not to be bad ram but interleaving FPM and EDO which wasn't labeled. Funny thing is it worked fine from OS9.x-10.2 10.2.1 refused to run with it....very odd -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
