Will;
Last May I emailed Micromat on this subject( Supermac Digest #1123),
whether all ram was tested by TTP3. They replied that all ram is
tested if the the range is selected as Full Memory. This is
accomplished by establishing a one Meg memory Scratch Pad and another
3060 to hold the temporary partion that holds the test.
The contents of the memory locations to be tested are moved into the
one Meg space temporarily and then moved back after that space has
been tested and the test progresses with another one Meg. At the end
the one meg Scratch is tested and then I suppose the 3060 partition
is moved so the last 3K can be tested. This is all mentioned in the
TTP3 Manual.

However as I recall all running apps are shut down and that would I
suppose include the major portion of TTP3. With only the Ram test
running in the temporary partition.
So I don't see a speed gain for TTP3. I guess I will have to try it
and see what happens.
