I keep hearing this, but I bought my wife an iMac on the 1st day they were
available, and it had 8.5 installed on it. Maybe there were some pre-release
one's with 8.1, but I never saw one. But then I've never tried to get USB
working on 8.1 anyhow. It works fine on 8.5 FWIW.
