Hey Jeff,
It helped. Sprayed it black (nightmare job!), rebuilt it and got the
chimes but black screen. Shuffled absolutely everything - getting the
scsi power plugs off is exasperating in this poorly designed tub but no
luck until I pulled the cache. Then it started up all the way with the
Umax 200 604e in 9.1 but I have vertical corruption on the screen - I
think it's the viewsonic monitor adapter but I've lost the instructions -
hehheh.
Just had two Seagate ST34371WC Barracudas through the post and an
IBM 9LP - can't test the Seagates as I have no 80 pin adapters yet but at
least the scsi connector is central - with the Compaqs the off centre
bays gave no room for the 68/50 adapter until I shaved the end off with a
knife - what a design....
Can I use a usb keyboard and mouse if I put a usb pci card in this
tub? - there don't seem to be any black adb's around.

     Cheers Jeff

     Pete in the UK
