Thanks Walt. Chipmunk was the method I was disparaging. I tried it one  more
time  and got lucky. The chip I was investigating was the one they used as
the example. made  it easy. I have some 64 mg 168 pin sticks that are
identified as 5v 2k FPM. On  the stick there is stenciled PM9500/32/64. Is
this some OEM Mac ram? The chips are LGS (Lucky Gold Star). 2k is faster
than 4k and (better ?) right?
