Chipmunk was the method I was disparaging. I tried it one more time and got lucky. The chip I was investigating was the one they used as the example. made it easy. I have some 64 mg 168 pin sticks that are identified as 5v 2k FPM. On the stick there is stenciled PM9500/32/64. Is this some OEM Mac ram? The chips are LGS (Lucky Gold Star). 2k is faster than 4k and (better ?) right? -- All the best, R.A. Cantrell
