Considerations: 
Most likely (IMHO) PRAM Battery may be dead. Some machines will not boot if this 
happens.

RAM chip may be loose, as mentioned--since this machine uses RAM to drive video--you 
won't get anything. I bought a machine like your off of eBay and had the same problem. 
It was a loose chip.

Processor may be loose. My brother gave his C600 to his son-in-law and in the trip to 
LA, both RAM chips and the processor became unseated.
