As Bailey suggests, if you set your mail client to "leave messages on 
server" for a week, then auto delete from the server, on both/all 
machines, then each machine can get all the mail *and* it won't just 
keep stacking up on the server at your ISP.  As long as your mail 
gets deleted before you hit your account quota at the ISP, you 
shouldn't have any problem at all.

DSL runs at something like 500k (ymmv).  10baseT runs at 10,000k.  I 
don't think you'll have a problem.

You may want to look into IPNetRouter by sustainable softworks, 
http://www.sustworks.com.  It allows you to build a local network of 
255 or more  machines with unique IP addresses on a single "real" ip 
address from your DSL carrier.  OR get one of the Linksys dsl routers 
that allows you to do the same.
