Well, if that's what you're really after, I'd suggest SIMS from 
stalker.com.  It's rock solid stable and pretty good at anti-spam 
stuff. There's a strong discussion list to support it.  And it's 
free.  It'll run fine on any old 6080x0 box or PPC on up through OS 
9.x, and will run as a classic app (with a little tweaking) on OSX.

But I don't think that's really what you're looking for.
