Alan,

I just got cable internet about 3-4 mos ago. I bought a little smc 4
port cable/dsl router for $40. Plug and play - set up with your web
browser - just like connecting with a modem. The router lets all your
computers share the same connection at the same time with just one
external ip. It won't change the way you use your email now.

The only way I know to do this is to leave the mail on your isp's
server(I assume under different accounts), or to duplicate your isp's
mail server by running one of your own - you transfer the mail to a
local machine and then access it from there. You also have access to
logs of eveything that goes in or out.

sorry if I misunderstood your request,

Tom
