True, but it took IDE about 10-years to catch up. IIRC SCSI does have 
one advantage in that since the controller is on the drive instead of 
the card (i.e. IDE), SCSI does use less processor power. Might have 
been a big deal when we were dealing with 25MHz IIci's, but not 
noticeable with today's machines.
