At Prosoniq.com they offer a free program called Artist Basic. It
will do quite a few things with digital audio including converting your
analog recording. You can use it to divide the recording into
individual tracks, but it is tedious. For me the easiest program has
been Toast Titanium 5. With it you can convert to digital and split it
up into tracks. It isn't hard to find the spaces between songs using
the "peaks and valleys". This program will also lessen or delete tape
hiss and vinyl pops. It isn't free, but for me it has been worth the
price.
