Our family just acquired a newer iMac G4/800 flat screen. It came with an Epson 1660 and it need no software OSX 10.2.1 recognizes it as did OS10.1.4. It uses the image capture utility and then you can save it as PDF as a function of the print que. I've been wondering about the VueScan software, and have downloaded it, but not tried it yet. We still need some chilling out time to get reacquainted with the new digs and hardware!! Never had a scanner before!! Walt
