Gary, Thanks for responding. I have a question, I assume you have it attached to the external scsi port and not a PCI scsi card, correct? Its funny my scanner is "talking" to the computer, it makes a sound just before it makes a "pass" but it does not engage any further. It looks as though I'll have to search the net for some answers. I also thought about getting a USB to SCSI adapter or Firewire adapter but for that kind of expense I could buy a new scanner. I often exhaust myself for solutions.
