I don't know how you verify in OSX that your SCSI devices is properly 
terminated, but if your 1200S has a termination switch that is set to 
ON and is the only device in the chain, I think you can assume that 
it is properly terminated. So that is probably not your problem. You 
might want to check out the "Device" tab in the VueScan window. It 
has a "Scan mode" pull down menu. Mine is set to "UMAX". I looked and 
couldn't see an obvious choice for your 1200S, but you might want to 
experiment with various settings there. You might also want to simply 
contact the VueScan folks at

The Help file says "All Epson" scanners are supported, so I'm 
guessing one of the Scan mode settings is right for yours. Happy
