Hi Folks,
Anyone else here getting spam entitled, "Who Is Spying On You" and trying to
sell you anti-spyware software?
I only use the email address this spam was sent to, on this SM List. So I'm
thinking that this SM List, or perhaps Lowend Mac lists in general, are
being harvested for email addresses by spammers.
Just checking. I hate spam, and plan to report it to SpamCop. Perhaps if
others here are also affected, we could all report it. Ya just gotta fight
back, it's become such a plague.

Howie, I'm very happy to report that no I'm not getting this spam. I see you have a shaw.ca address which I believe is broadband. A few years ago I was getting so much spam it was unbelievable. It turned out someone who was using the same broadband company as I was ([EMAIL PROTECTED] which became @home.com, ATTBI.com ,now and perhaps the least ;-) Comcast.net) had written or gotten a software program that somehow harvested all excite @home.com email address's and auto sent the spam out by the Millions! It took a while but they caught the guy. I'm guessing it's some variation of that sort of thing. I am happy to say AT&T really got it together and ended spam for the most part on their networks! So far Comcast is ok in that area. Best of luck in solving this issue. Will S
