I've been using SpamCop for a few years now. While not 100% effective,
it certainly has come in handy when I've suddenly been inundated with a
flood of spam in getting it stopped

I upgraded to Eudora 6.0b24 ( it is up to 6.0b26) and although my spam problem is bothersome it is not as bad as some. I get about 30-40 messages/day out of which 8-15 are legitimate.

Now with the new Eudora beta, out of the box it declared spam as spam with 95 percent
accuracy. After using it for two weeks and training the program it now catches 99.99 percent.

Eudora puts spam in a new "Spam" folder that you have an option to create at installation. The spam can be looked at before deleting. Items in the folder can be declared as "not spam" and conversly mail in the inbox can be declared spam. Once declared by you that particular mail's status is fixed for future filtering. The status can be changed as you chose.
At the moment Eudora's spam filter is not pro-active. It just dumps it and does not report it. I have not investigated the ways to modify Eudora 6 beta as implied in the included blurb from the Eudora page.

You can of course design filters to sort your mail to your custom mail boxes by your custom criteria. Eudora v.6.0b26 has some other neat features that bear looking at.

I have no connection with Qualcom other than using Eudora, since the beginning version, on my MacPlus.

Hope this adds something positive to the thread,

Spam-Fighting Tools. (Windows and Macintosh) A whole suite of ready-to-use tools to stamp out unwanted junk mail. Right out of the box, most junk mail will be quarantined by SpamWatch, whose database can be trained by the user. Furthermore, Eudora's junk mail system is open to third party developers, so that other anti-spam tools, including those running at your site or ISP, can be simply and smoothly integrated. And, in true Eudora tradition, you can tweak and tune the system to your liking.
