The c600's battery is not exactly easy to get at, but not too complicated either. It is under the CD/hard drive assemble.
I don't know if you know about the SuperMac Insider web site. If not, you will find it very helpful. It is located here: <http://home.earthlink.net/~supermac_insider/>
To locate the instructions on replacing the battery, click on the Support Section on the SuperMac Insider home page. About half way down the Support page, click on the Troubleshooting Guides. Then download the c-series pdf file. The battery replacement instructions are in the pdf file.
The c600 uses a Rayovac 841 (cube style) battery. It is a square battery with a short wire and connector. It has a bit of velcro on it to hold it in place. You should be able to find one at a local computer store, or Radio Shack.
