Hello Nancy, Thanks for being so helpful in such a swift manner. I will try to answer as good as I can. May current OS is 8.1 I am using FWB CD ROM ver 4.0.1, that Alan sent me to install, since I did not have it when I had to reload the system. The ver that came with the UMAX CD was 2.2. I still have it on the "previous System folder." I did deactivate the Apple CD-ROM. Odd thing, I had both activated before for years with no problem. I activated it just to see what would happen, no help. So, I deactivated it. I do not have the FEB Tools PE, installed yet. Could this have any thing to do with this problem? This problem does not seem to do anything, so perhaps I will live with it. Thanks again, Arnie
