The CD-ROM ToolKit 4.0.1 extension I sent you is what I am currently using with OS
9.1.
I am not 100% certain if it is backwards compatible with 8.1.
Maybe that's part of your problem.
I may be able to dig up a version that I used with 8.x but someone else may be able to send you one sooner.
Let us know if you do get one from one of us so I don't keep looking.

I am curently on OS 8.6 on a C500 (Apus 2000 in UK) and installed FWB CD -Rom Toolit v 4.0.1 over a year ago when I was running OS 8.5.5. I have had no trouble re either OS and the Apple CD rom Drive is switched off under Extensions Manager.
