Yep, the riser card threw me too, but I have only seen the inside of Umax Clones, none of the others.
The card runs good in the Powercurve, there does seem to be a few minor things... like if the dimms are not placed in the spots the powercurve likes the card will not load. Also this Powercurve has a 1 mg backside cache the J700 is the standard that came with the unit? Would that change things? The info for this card is it is the Newertech G3 300 mhz card, the info about it says it works in pretty much all the clone models, Power Computing, Umax J700 + 900 etc., I can pull it and get the numbers off it too if it will help. It looks like Paul has directed you to software for your card. Keep in mind the card should run with no software(though it will run slowly). So if you can't get it to run with software there could be other issues. best of luck. Will S
