Whew!! Almost information overload there!! I had considered chip replacement on the card I have with what is probably a bad address. I would like to find a way to test the memory chips on board before starting in with a soldering iron. I had thought I might try to come up with a NOS bare chip somewhere. It has been a long time since I bought chips though and I am not sure where to look anymore. One of my old favorites, Microprocessors Unlimited, has fallen off the edge of the earth. Another idea was to swap ROM chips between cards. Not sure if that is a good idea or not. Once again, advice will be appreciated. That card will change resolutions from the TT control panel. The monitors I am using are an old apple and a mitsubishi, both with a maximum res of 640 X 480 and a vga or svga that can go up to 1024 X 768. Both cards have standard vga connectors and apple connectors. I don't think either were OEM from apple but probably after-market or OEM for a clone.
