This could still be a software problem, I have used Twin Turbos in all my umax machines and never had a problem with the 4.0.6 software in 8.6 or 9.1... so I will suggest other things that might be causing the problem. First, what size monitor is being put to it? Does the monitor have its own software?
There are two immediate things that should be checked in 8.6. Go to the control panel in Monitors and make sure the settings are right for your monitor. There is also another folder called Monitors Extras Folder, use search to find it, then click on monitors in there and see if there are any adjustments to be made. This folder is often forgotten since it does not ride in the control panel, but I have found with some older monitors adjustments need to be made in both areas.

No. That version of the software only works on System 7.5.3. I couldn't make it work
on my Mac with OS 8.6, so I went into research mode and discovered that.

Hmmm....I have been using 4.0.6, which is the last of the updates, all the way through 9.1.
I'm thinking I started using that version somewhere along when I was on either 8.5 or 8.6.
Isn't 4.0.6 what's available for download from OWC ?
