S900 brethren (and sisters),
I can't speak for everyone that reads this board, but
I can speak for myself. While I am sure that MANY of
us go through a lot of pain with our S900s, in no way,
shape, or form does the S900 deserve some of the
negative posts that I have read here lately.
If you have had problems with your S900, there are a
vast number of possible reasons or fixes for that:
10. You bought a bad box.
9. You screwed up your box.
8. You aren't doing something right trying to fix your
box.
7. You pushed the upper limits of your box and now...
(see #9)
6. Your S900's hardware is doing exactly what you are
doing, NOT aging gracefully.
5. Your S900 has telepathic ability and senses your
desire for a PC.
4. Grounding straps are good...mmmmmkaaaay.
3. You are a closet masochist. (see #5)
2. Your box is gone. Dead. Kaput. Sh*t happens.
1. Two words: iMac G5 (ok...G5 isn't really a word :)
Take it for what it is. An attempt at injecting some
humor into a crappy situation. I am sorry for all the
pain that some of you are going through with your
S900s. Please don't use that pain as a launchpad for
disparaging a piece of hardware that many of us have
gotten tremendous use out of, and one that many of us
have come to really enjoy. Each day that I get a
little more use out of mine, I am thankful knowing
full well that any day now, it could be the last.
Good luck.
