OK Dan, so maybe that was a widdo too hard.  You see that big ole hole in
the side with all the bits of broken glass showing, that's called the CRT.
But hey, throw some duct tape over it and you won't notice a thing.  In a
month, no prob as it is a well known fact that duct tape has healing
properties and the hole will disappear completely.

Alan, can you tell me more.  Mine is a Sony 19" Trinitron (in a KDS housing)
and it appears the 400ps is also a Trinitron.  Even though your symptom
wasn't identical, there's a chance that the manufacturing error was the
same.  By chance do you still have the repair order which might show
specifically what was repaired?

If mine goes black again I'll probably end up having to open it up to see if
I can find any loose connections.  Of course I'll discharge it first so I
don't get fried.
