Hi,

Suggestion : "Add New Tab Opening Button" in Toolbar

Thanks...

...what would be even slicker would be a Pref setting for Tabbed
Browsing to "open embedded links in a new Tab"; i.e. - links on a page
which share the same domain name as the originating page; and let the
user be able to turn this behavior on/off.

And/or maybe include a modifier key that would open in the same Tab as
now when held (like shift+click or such) or just provide the operation
on right click in the Context Menu similar to current.

Personally, I use right click to open in a new Tab all the time...really
like it.

You might want to try Tab Clicking Options. I use a middle-click on a
link, or on a bookmark, to open in a new tab. A middle-click on a blank
area of the tab bar opens a new blank tab. Middle-click on a tab to
close it.

or

It says not available for SM 2.23 but you can mod the install.rdf file
in the.xpi package and it works fine.

Being a Mac user I take "extreme measures" just to invoke a right-click (cntrl+click)...so middle click isn't really an option for me.

But it's been pointed out that I can use command-click ("splat"-click) and open in an new Tab directly instead of using the contextual menu. That's pretty nice option for use with my Magic Trackpad.

I really hate mice...I was a trackball devotee until I got this Trackpad. After a bit of use I've grown to seriously prefer it.
