Otherwise, it should be quite easy to create and add-on offering that
functionality (adding an optional, customizable toolbar button to the
browser).
If you want to go with the existing functionality, here's a thought: Did
you know that you can middle-click the Home button to open a new tab
with your homepage? Or middle-click the Reload button to clone the
current tab, including back/forward-history? Those buttons (or text
labels with icons off) are visible even when the tab bar is not.
