please wontfix. if people want to use tabs, they should opt in to
always seeing
the tabbar and be happy. if a person does not want to use tabs, we
should *not*
spend their valuable real-estate on a button which they will not use.
I opted in to always seeing the tab bar because I found that adding a
new tab without it visible caused a distraction by rearranging the
display area. With the tab bar always on, the display region remains
constant.
I use the "hide Tab bar with only one Tab open" Pref. I LOVE
Tabs...dunno how I ever lived without them.
I don't use them for Mail/News though...but what I would like would be
the ability to bring Mail/News up in a Tab within the Browser instead of
a separate window. Which I hear is supposed to be on the SM road map.
