Why didn't I get the choice in Win7??

In Preferences - Browser - Downloads there's an option to automatically
save to your last downloaded folder. You need to change it back to
always ask you where you want to save files.

(Sorry if this is a duplicate but I'm not subscribed to
mozilla.support.seamonkey)

So, Neil, is this a difference between Win7 and Linux versions of
SeaMonkey, 'cause as I posted in the original, when I downloaded using
Linux I did get asked??

Here I am, in my Win7 installation, and at Edit->Preferences - Browser -
Downloads, in the top section (When starting a download) I have "Open
the download manager" selected (and "Just Flash .... as well) and they
both happen,, and in the middle section (When saving a file) I have
"Always ask me where to save files" selected.

(I see in the unselected "Save files to" I do have Downloads selected -
still cannot find the file anywhere on my Windows drives.)

Note: I did not, at any recent time, have "Save files to" selected, just commenting that if I had, then the file should have gone to "Downloads" as suggested.

Any other suggestions as to why I missed out on getting the Download
screen?? Do you guys using Windows7 with "Always ask me ....." get the
Download screen??

(May as well download the Windows update whilst I'm here!)

I've download the new Win7 SM beta update, and it will be installed when I reboot (as normal) but no Download screen (which I think is also normal).

Downloaded the new Adobe Flashplayer (install_flashplayer14x32au_aaa_aih.exe) and it *did* open the Download Manager.
