My question, too.
I would wait a week at least.
It will take that long for this forum to have enough posts to get an
idea where the issues are. From that only you can decide if you want it
or not. Personally I think I'm staying as from initial reports it seems
it didn't get enough critical bugs fixed and there may be some new big
ones introduced as well, esp if you use the e-mail component or have an
older ATI graphics card.
Ditto since I am BUSY these days.

Older ATI graphic cards? Which one? I have an ATI Radeon 4870 HD video
card. Is that old?
I'm not sure exactly. Looks like there is an issue with hardware
acceleration with ATI graphics cards. Look at all the blank screen posts
recently for more info.
IIRC, people mentioned Intel videos in Bugzilla, Firefox, etc. I do
remember having problems with this hardware acceleration after I
installed a very old SM v2 from v1 years ago. I had to disable SM2's
hardware acceleration. I wonder if it will happen again with v2.30+ for
me. I will find out whenever I upgrade from v2.26.1. :(
Personally I have had so many issues with ATI cards in my CAD programs
at work over the years I always get Nvidia or Matrox only now. My main
CAD program advises against using ATI.
For me, I wanted ATI due to fullscreen video overlays on my very old
(January 1996) 19.5" Sharp CRT TV.
