A run time version will run without FileMaker. The run time engine
provides the needed DLL files to run the solution. You just can't create
your own databases and the such that you can with a full version of
FileMaker. Ebase does have a run time version, so if everything is
loaded properly you should be able to click on the .exe file and try
Ebase.
