I tried a fresh download of version 1.03 on my Windows 2000 PC and came up
with the same problem. Out of frustration, I went over to a Windows 98
machine and copied the backup to a new directory. After resetting the
read-only attribute, ebase ran flawlessly. I guess my problem was with the
Windows 2000 Operating System all along.

Now, can anyone help me in installing ebase 1.03 on a windows 200 computer?
