Did a Sherlock search and found two sets of preferences, one for the previous version of FM. Tossed that. Nothing else was found that was related to the previous version. >Try launching your new copy of FileMaker, verify that it has the >network protocol set to none, and using the File Menu to open ebase. Did this. It still starts to dial. Did look at other tabs under preferences and found these two plug-ins were checked -- Auto Update, and Local Access Companion. Don't know whether this could cause the attempt to access the internet. Once I stop the dialing, it was possible to open Ebase from the file--open menu although I have Ebase in a separate file on my hard disk and have to move around in the dialog box to get to it.. ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
