The one in My Computer | Dial Up Networking, works really well. I got
my ISP running on a friend's computer within seconds as all I needed
was phone number and username. Password was typed as just before
dialling. And the ISP's modem phone number is easy to remember
[46313000].
] It didn't took several hours to set it up, but waiting in the damn phone
] since I (or my cousin or friend for that matter) don't get any information
] for the setup by any ISP on paper. They just claim that W95 can find the
] info on it's own (without even a phone number!) This has happend with both
] the two biggest ISPs in Sweden (Telia and Tele2).
Yeah, this is right. IIRC you can click somewhere, the modem dials a
national number and gets this info, and connects you automatically
with a credit card or something. I don't really know as I never let
it ring out. Well, a 1800 number wouldn't have given any grief.
Execpt maybe all those ID numbers...
] The setup in itself is also much harder than a normal setup. And the fact
] that 95 can't remember the password is really annoying.
Thats a major bug imho. It should at least have the option to
remember it. But, I remember a bug when you told it to remember and
it didn't, you told it to not, and it did! That's a bad bug,
expecially in a shared house, and your password is one that can
change your enrolement at university.
