That's precisely the point, Ole.

What ISPs *have* to "support" is correct PPP, SMTP etc - well defined,
public connectivity standards. These define even what a DNS is and how
it's to be used - things like the refusal (or stupidity) of some
Swedish ISP to inform a subscriber (was it Bernie or Lars-Einar who
wrote about it?) are at least against business rules, if not outright
illegal.
