While the HP Deskjet printers support PCL level 3, they are using
a modified font format. Therefore you cannot use HP Laserjet
softfonts directly.

I once used a commercial program called EDFON (a font editor)
which could convert a Laserjet softfont into a Deskjet softfont.
I do not know, however, if such a converter exists in the
freeware or shareware area.

I suggest you check out the search machines including
"ftpsearch.lycos.com".
