Responding to my query about downloadable fonts for an HP Deskjet

I don't think so, and I'll tell you why:
This printer came with 5 disks containing drivers and fonts. In
the installation process I can choose which fonts to install on
my hard disk, for subsequent use on the printer--that is,
downloading the fonts to the printer. The printer come with
built-in memory (I don't recall how much) and has 4 permanent
fonts installed, in 4 variations (regular, italics, bold, and
bold italics).
LEJ>I've tried downloaded fonts with my Canon BJ-10-sx, WordPerfect
LEJ>5.0 and a 286 and it worked OK. As soon as the font file info is

LEJ>italics, bold, subscript etc. The transfer of the text from the

My observations exactly! However, I suspect there may be some
significance to the order with which commands are issued to the
printer.

I have some documentation somewhere that says you can send
commands to the printer regarding size--I have info on those
commands. The sizing is done on (by) the printer!
