It should be loaded _before_ Creativelabs' SB Pro drivers.
It's treated like a low level driver, only not resident.

Not really.  The answer is yes, as long as the compatible sound
card already set to full SB support, so the drivers "tricked" to
see the card as "the real" Sound Blaster.  Unfortunately, the
spec required to initialize such "multimode" sound card usually
differs for each chipset maker/brand.   In your case, Yamaha
electronics have it...

Hey, perhaps those SB drivers conflicting with Blaster Master?
How about REM-ing those drivers from your CONFIG.SYS?  Could
Blaster Master detect your card that way?  I just remember that
CT*.SYS drivers only required by Creativelabs apps.  Try REM
your "BLASTER" parms as well, this will force Blaster Master
to scan all possible SB port/IRQ/DMA.  Good luck! :)
