"an invalid command was found in the spool data while processing the band"
(hope I got that right)
hmmmm. Print a complex page locally on the printer machine and it goes
fine. Print it from the network and get that. Now, I could go and install
all my apps on that machine and save to it's drive and then print locally,
but that would defeat the purpose of having a print server, wouldn't it?
lexmark printer requires you to point the spool queue to the shared print
directory on both the host and workstation machines after installing the
printer as a local machine on both. Convoluted and stupid and now it gives
this error. Lexmark doesn't support this old machine either, though I'll
try calling them tomorrow if I can find the old number in the docs that
came with the printer. I want to trade this printer for something
better!! Damn salesman talking me out of the machine I planned to buy.
