I'm saving your extensive info for later. I of course don't have the
software or skill to follow your instructions, but might later. There is
something whonky all over with that 486 I was trying to use for a print
server. It gets a variety of weird glitches, even with a memory upgrade to
28MB RAM. I really have no idea why nor am i feeling particularily
motivated to trouble shoot it. Tried to install winamp and it kept telling
me, after winamp crashed, that I didn't have permission, there were system
restrictions on the machine, call the sysadmin (that would be me?) about
it. Well, not likely, a basic install of win95, clean and
fresh! Nevermind, I am much too fed up to bother at this time, prolly a
miniscule crack in the motherboard or such causing it to crash easily and
report weirdly. I've put the printer back on the main machine for now,
I've got stuff to do, gotta print resume's and look for work while working
two cleaning jobs and volunteering two others. Poverty sucks.
