Nah, that's not right. Outlook is scriptable (not sure if that can be
disabled), so when the script was run it can easily create new e-mails to
send to people (it doesn't forward the mail).

Yes, but Windows makes it easier. DOS and MacOS would also be easy, whereas
a real system with real security behind it (Unices, and NT to some extent)
are a lot more difficult to write viruses for. In fact, with a UNIX
machine, if the virus was to modify existing programs on the system it'd
have to be a superuser...
