Hahahahahahahahahaha! No offense taken. My car is a 1973
Plymouth Fury, all original, and in mint condition. It's worth
between $16,000.00 and $20,000.00 - but it's probably more now
that Chrysler has gotten rid of the Plymouth division. My
brother's car is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air and it's also all original
and worth $50,000.00+. My brother works at a place that
specializes in classic cars. No computers necessary. These are
*real* cars, not the little "hot wheels" and "matchbox"
made-of-tin cars built nowdays. If you drive a late model car,
with it's air bags, anti-lock brakes, computer (no matter what OS
it uses) you are 13 times more likely to be killed in a serious
accident than I am in my car. I have no desire to own a car made
before 1974 - ever! I live in kansas City now, but am originally
from Michigan and grew up during Detroit's heyday. Cars are not
a subject you want to tangle with me on. Besides, it's off topic
for the list.

Not much, I know personally plenty of people that own late model,
computerized cars and they are always having trouble with them.
And my brother knows plenty of mechanics that do work on late
model cars - they are junk - and all the fancy computer
diagnostics don't do any good, the usual solution is to replace
the computer module(s) to the tune of $2,000.00 each. Anyone who
knows anything about computers knows that cars and computers
don't mix, not yet anyway, not until there are vast improvements
in computers.
