>I believe that all PS/2 computers are in the AT class.
Incorrect...Most PS/2 keyboards have what they call a "Mini-Din" connector,
which is about half the size of an actual AT connector...In short, it is
smaller...ATs, which were around since the original IBM 286 PC, have a much
bigger connector, you might see some PS/2 keyboards advertized with a "PS/2
Connector" as well as AT boards with an "AT connector." To use a PS/2
keyboard with an AT port, you will need a "PS/2-to AT adapter" or vice
versa. As with new computers, the ATX design has PS/2 keyboard ports as
well as mouse, whereas the AT motherboard has an AT connector and uses
mostly a SERIAL Port for the mouse...
>An XT keyboard will not work with an AT computer.
Another mistake...I am using an old XT keyboard, with the function keys
mounted at the left, on my Gateway 386DX, which is of the AT design! It
even works with our new AMD K6-2 PS/2 port with an adapter.
