It is possible to fix the swap file size, and even change the
location, in Win9x.
Go to the Control Panels, then to the System one. Then click on
the "Performance" tab, and click on the "Virtual Memory" button
there.
Setting a minimum size for the swap file, at least equal to your
physical memory, can give you a slight performance bonus, as the
machine then isn't expanding and shrinking the swap file quite a
often. I normally don't fool with the maximum size setting.
