Once more, when running the 32bit multitasking w9x series, I again
recommend that you do not turn off your swap file unless you have the
confidence to fix it should the system be unworkable as a result. Yes,
more RAM is always useful, although more than 128MB is excessive by most
standards and not often used. 32 is the minimum for comfort, especially on
w98, less will slow you down and use your hard drive swap file
excessively. 64 is what I recommend to people just starting out. It's
more than you usually need but enough to take on larger jobs without
slowing down, you can push the envelope a bit more. I like to run many
tasks at once, letting a page load on the www while I check a message or
two, keeping various utilities open and running, maintaining an IRC
presence, etc.

I would not like to have it spread out that way, I like to scroll about in
a document. I do miss the mac wordperfect trick of splitting the window to
give two separately scrollable views of a single document, however.

No, he is a beta tester for corel's newest corel draw, and a set designer,
he builds the sets with complex multi-layered objects on his hard drive,
then prints off various parts of them to create the 3 dimensional maquettes
(models) of the finished stage as well as the blue prints they use to build
it. He hates sitting and waiting for the computer to catch up.
