I use w98se and it doesn't want to use the internet unless I want it
to. (Or click on the wrong icon :) I personally use the "back" toolbar
option in standard windows explorer all the time. But I hate when I
am looking at a local webpage (eg on my D drive) and going
between file list and a .html file will create a new window. Even
right clicking and selecting "Open in Same Window" will swap it to
an "Internet Explorer" window.

I also use Netscape a lot since one can actually turn JavaScript off!
(I have yet to find any such option in IE 5.5)

When did Outlook come into this discussion?

FWIW Netscape Communicator will allow more than one
newsserver.

I agree. I actually have several gigabytes of "crap" on my
harddrive... gotta get rid of it...

To bring this more on topic, I run linux 24/7 on my survpc 486. ;-)
