I imagine kernel 2.4 would be overkill for BasicLinux, at least size-wise, but the framebuffer support is quite impressive. I've played around with the LNX-BBC and Linuxcare Bootable CD Toolkits. Both boot from CD on a surprising number of hardware configurations, and can even launch X in resolutions up to 1024x768 if the video card is supported. Also good news for a generic CLI configuration that could allow higher text resolutions without tweaking. Slipping back into nonsense, fb support is required for that Amiga display. - Bob To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
