If you would like to offer multiple language versions of
BasciLinux I could try to interest some of the FIDO Linux
people in doing translations. There are several who speak
6 languages and at least one or two who have an interest in
mini-installs of Linux. I'm mono-lingual myself, unfortunately.

Only variations I can think of are the ASCII and BINARY
options for FTP that could cause this to happen.

I was told of some flooding that could affect Arachne but
has had no obvious affect on them?

As long as your original version remains available I see no
reason you need limit yourself and lose your momentum.

I had argued for years with Linux users that their advice to
newbies to install Linux on minimal `386s just was not going
to happen with existing installs. The existence of your
BasicLinux solves that argument and I can now direct those
new users to your BasicLinux. If they get the Slackware
v3.5 CD for $.99 plus shipping they have what they need to
begin using Linux on their SurvPC hardware. :-)

When you "obsolete some" what would you envision as the new
minimum hardware platform required?
