I get several private messages per day regarding BasicLinux and there are probably even more people with questions who don't bother to ask. I'm thinking it might be useful to suggest (on the BasicLinux site) that users might like to join a mailing list where BasicLinux is discussed.
I suppose I could start a special BasicLinux list, but I don't know whether the traffic would justify it. I'd hate to go through the trouble of getting it going and then see it die. It would be safer/simpler to direct users to an existing list where BasicLinux is occasionally discussed and see how it goes from there. Since BasicLinux was designed to be suitable for old PCs and since most users of the HD version appear to have installed it on an older PC, I am thinking that one of the two survPC lists might be suitable for BasicLinux discussions. It doesn't matter to me whether it is [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] I am writing this message to see if any of you guys would object to BasicLinux users coming here to ask questions. I am also sending this message to the other survpc list. Your comments are invited. Where should BasicLinux users go? Softcon? LifeRaft? Neither? Cheers, Steven To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message. Also, trim this footer from any quoted replies.
